Prof. Umehara’s comment appears in an article of the Yomiuri Shimbun based on a correspondent’s reportage from the Democratic Republic of Congo about an Uranium Mine in the country which provides Uran ore that was used for making the atomic bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
