【April 2024】AY2024 Hiroshima Peace Institute, Hiroshima City University Application Procedure for Hiroshima Short-Term Residency Program “HPI Fellowship”
The Hiroshima Peace Institute (HPI) has established the HPI Fellowship: a short-term residency program that invites young scholars in peace studies and peace research to conduct research activities in Hiroshima. HPI will offer round-trip ticket from the international airport nearest to the participant’s place of residence to Hiroshima Airport, and accommodation at the dormitory of Hiroshima City University.
Application Qualifications:
(1) Those who have completed their doctoral degree in peace studies or a related field outside of Japan within the previous 5 years, or those who are currently enrolled in a doctoral course (regardless of nationality). (2) Those who must be of excellent character and academic achievement. (3) Those who are recognized as having willingness and ability to publish research results related to their stay in Hiroshima in Japanese or English. (4) Those who must be working on one of the following research topics: ○ Memory of the A-bombing of Hiroshima and issues of inheritance ○ Nuclear disarmament issue ○ Peace research issues

Length of stay:
The duration of the short-term stay program shall be no less than one month and no longer than three months in AY2024 (April 2024- March 2025)
