5. ポール・ジョーゼフ博士の略歴
 米国カリフォルニア大学バークレー校にて博士号取得。米国タフツ大学社会人類学部長、平和と正義研究プログラム長。1993年から同大学教授。カンタベリー大学、中央大学、ブランダイス大学にて教鞭をとった経験あり。おもな著書に、Are Americans Becoming More Peaceful? (Paradigm Publishers, 2007)、Peace Politics: The United States Between The Old and New World Orders (Temple University Press, 1993)、Search for Sanity: Politics of Nuclear Weapons and Disarmament (edited with Simon Rosenblum, South End Press, 1984)等のほか、多数の論文を執筆している。現在、ベトナム反戦運動とイラク反戦運動との相違と類似点についての比較分析を進めている。

4. Profile of Dr. Paul Joseph

After completing his Ph.D. in 1975 at University of California, Berkeley, Paul Joseph joined Tufts University where he is Professor of Sociology. For over 18 years he has served as the Director of Peace & Justice Studies program. He has taught courses at Brandeis University, University of Canterbury, and Chuo University. His current research is on a systematic comparison of the opposition to the wars in Vietnam and Iraq, including similarities as well as differences.

His publications include the following:
