講演１：「ウクライナ―最悪の事態が起こった」
ヴァルタン・ムラディアン （難民としてウクライナを逃れ、現在オランダNoordwijk州庁登録官、国連難民高等弁務官 (UNHCR) ウクライナ事務所休職中）
要 旨：ウクライナの歴史的観点から、ウクライナがロシアの一部であるというロシアの主張には根拠がないと言えることを説明。欧州におけるウクライナ人の受け入れ状況を報告するとともに、戦争と核兵器の問題について個人的見解を述べる。
略 歴：1989年、ハンガリーのデブレツェン生まれ。ウクライナのドニプロにあるアルフレッド・ノーベル大学卒業。法学修士号取得。企業法務での勤務等を経て2015年からUNHCRウクライナ事務所所属。その間、2021年にはスーダンでの緊急活動にも従事。2022年3月、ウクライナのハルキウからオランダに疎開し、ノールトウェイクにおいて暫定的に行政に従事。
講演２：「東欧史から見たウクライナ戦争」

要 旨：現在進行中のウクライナでの戦争を、おもにポーランド、チェコ、スロヴァキア、ハンガリーなどからなる東欧地域での現代史の文脈から考えて見たい。ウクライナは1991年まではソ連という国家の一部を構成してきた。それに対して、これらの東欧諸国は第一次世界大戦後に独立した。とはいえ、これらの諸国の歴史はウクライナの歴史と密接な関係があった。東欧史という文脈で現在の戦争を少し異なる角度から見ることにしたい。
略 歴：1950年生まれ。東京都立大学法学部卒。カレル大学（プラハ）留学、一橋大学大学院法学研究科博士後期課程単位取得退学。広島大学法学部助教授、同教授、北海道大学スラブ研究センター教授、同大学理事・副学長等を経て、京都女子大学現代社会学部教授（2014-2020年まで学長）。専門はチェコスロヴァキア史、東欧地域研究、国際関係史。近刊書に『チェコスロヴァキア軍団 ある義勇軍をめぐる世界史』（岩波書店、2021 年）がある。

5. Abstract of the Lecture and Biography of the Speaker
(1) Mr. Vartan Muradian
Abstract:
After an overview of Ukraine's history, Mr. Muradian will explain that Russia's claim that Ukraine is part of Russia has no basis. He will describe the reception of Ukrainians in Europe. He will present his personal vision of the polemics of the war and nuclear weapons.
Biography:
Born in Debrecen, Hungary in 1989. Graduated from the Alfred Nobel University in Dnipro, Ukraine. He holds a Master's Degree in Law. After working in corporate law for 10 years, he has been with the UNHCR Ukraine office since 2015. During that time, he also worked in emergency operations in Sudan in 2021. In March 2022, he was evacuated from Kharkiv, Ukraine to the Netherlands, where he worked in Noordwijk in interim administrative work.
(2) Prof. Tadayuki Hayashi
Abstract:
Professor Hayashi will consider the ongoing war in Ukraine in the context of the modern history of the East European region, which consists of Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, and others. Until 1991, Ukraine was part of the Soviet Union. In contrast, these East European countries became independent after World War I. However, the history of these countries was closely related to the history of Ukraine. He will look at the current war from a slightly different angle in the context of East European history.
Biography:
Born in 1950. Graduated from Tokyo Metropolitan University, Faculty of Law. Studied abroad at Charles University (Prague), and earned a doctorate from Hitotsubashi University Graduate School of Law. After serving as an assistant professor at the Faculty of Law, Hiroshima University, a professor at the Slavic Research Center, Hokkaido University, and a trustee and vice president of Hokkaido University, he became a professor at the Faculty of Contemporary Society, Kyoto Women's University (president from 2014 to 2020). He specializes in Czechoslovak history, East European area studies, and history of international relations. His recent publications include, "The Czechoslovak Army: A History of a Volunteer Army" (Iwanami Shoten, 2021).
